Class averages for the final exams were as follows:
French II- 63% (D)
Period 4- 73% (C)
Period 6- 68% (D+)
Period 7- 67% (D)
A modest curve was implemented for French I finals.
Needless to say, I am a little disappointed in the results; based on the poll results so far, I'm thinking it's because nobody studied- so you're pretty lucky I like you and gave you a curve anyway!

What does it mean when an exam is curved?
ReplyDeleteIt means I lowered the total points possible to make everyone's percentage higher. In the case of your class, I took your percentage out of 100 and entered it out of 90 in the gradebook; so if you got a 75% your new score would be 75/90 = 83.
